Food + Music = Melaka

Managed to make that trip to Melaka with Intan on Feb 10 & 11, 2007. Here's what we did:


^ First stop: Popias and noodles soup at the popular teatime joint next to Tanquerah Mosque.


^ Second stop: Sunset with Barkat's roti john at Pantai Tg Kling (renamed to something else now, I just forgot). After that it was Jonker's Street at its busiest.


^ Third stop: Music at Pure Bar with Superfriends! From 10.30pm to 1.45am.


^ Good music: Lots of new songs but MCR's The Black Parade is my most memorable for the night.


Melaka rocks: The multiracial crowd in Pure Bar seems to love Indonesian pop stuff and hip hop numbers - so we got Samson's hit song and Fergie's solo single.


^ Fourth stop: Night ends at Asam Pedas "Bawah Pokok" (got an official name for the place but again I forgot what lah). Host cat entertains while food is being prepared.


^ Last stop: Brunch at Dataran Pahlawan food court. Beef noodles sold by nice uncle very good to eat as Cheng Ho looks on.
