Early birds!

Borneo Rainforest had a bit of an audio problem these past few weeks, so much so there's several days our band of friends, Superfriends, don't even get the chance to perform!

But the good news is, on days they can resume work, they start a bit early than usual and finish off a bit later. So if you are in Sunway right after a day of hectic office life, swing by and likely you'll get to see the band in action as you're ordering your dinner.

Tonight: Superfriends back at Borneo Rainforest

Starting at 9.30pm tonight and this month onwards, our pals band Superfriends will be back at Borneo Rainforest! So see you all there in Sunway...

Back to homebase

Band Superfriends' dear ol' Shuq was asking me over email when Superfriends will be back in KL... They're back! Arriving from Kuching via a very early morning flight on 1st September 2009, the boys and girls are still very tired from their three-month contract at Merdeka Palace.

Plus now that they're back in Semenanjung, break fast times are not as early as Kuching! But I'm sure if you guys call 'em up and invite them for Buka, they'd be in better spirits.

Just so you know, the band is taking a break this Ramadhan and Syawal - a first in 10 years! Can you believe it! Since the band began they've never gotten a chance to opt for holiday during fasting or Raya month, so they're all looking forward to have a great one with their family and friends.

But this doesn't mean they won't be touching their instruments at all, just last night I heard they will be playing at a couple of private functions over the weekend. Enough to collect duit raya lah I suppose. But the rest of the days - they're free!

As for their next gig after the break... It'll be in KL - so I'll let you guys know the moment they've confirmed things OK.

Good 'ol Kuching

So Superfriends have reunited with a few old friends in Kuching, people like Man who took us to the best Laksa Sarawak place in town, recently. It's good to know they're doing well and still rockin'!

Superfriends settled in Kuching

Siti aka Korgian texted me yesterday - The band is having seafood at our favourite seafood joint, Top Spot. This place serves mean black pepper crab, and those into exotic food, there are more creatures to choose from!

Playing at Merdeka Palace's music hub till end of August you guys should head down to Kuching this month if you wanna catch the band and Rainforest Music Festival 2009 that's happenning on the second weekend in July. This music combo, now that's a real treat!

The only time I get to do this was back in 2004, when Rainforest's last gala concert was held on my birthday - not that I'm anyone special but hey, can perasan a bit what.

OK I'll post that video on Superfriends' latest siren in my next post I hope. Internet connectivity is real bad today...
