Friends of Band Superfriends: Thank you for your support!

Dear live music lovers,

Band Superfriends would like to wish all of you Salam Ramadhan and may this holy month bring you the best things in life.

As for the band members, maybe most of you already know that they are no longer collectively active on the club scene, as most of them moonlights with different bands around the circuit. Together as a band they only do dinner shows now.

On that note the band would like to say thanks to TM folks for having them again for 3rd year in a row for their lovely annual dinner. The last one in Johor was smashin' and it was so cool to get to meet the familiar faces of hardworking TM staff, says the band to this blogger recently.

If you miss them boys and girls of Superfriends, hang around in Ampang, they'll likely be hangin' around Korgian' and Nadzir's clothes shop or Najuib's motorbike accessories shop.

For those of you who have strongly supported this band throughout its years, this little sound-note from Pepper S. on Youtube is for you!

Kaulah Segalanya

And those of you who are missing and craving for their live performance:

Vote, respect!

Band Superfriends would like to wish all Malaysians, Happy Voting!

The band hopes everyone will be doing their duty to the country in happy spirits, and respect each other's differences in ideology.

To those who are making noise but failed to register as a voter, the Band says please go to SPR and register, and make sure to do your duty the next time around.

Peace!

Ex-Superfriends drummer doing Jump-P

Hi guys and gals,

Surely some of you remember that once the band had a drummer by the name of Lee, he's the one who will leave his seat once nearly every night to sing a classic rock number, She's Gone (not Hall & Oates version, more of the Steelheart's).

If you guys miss his drum sounds, head on to www.facebook.com/JumpPFanClub or www.myspace.com/bandjumpp to see what's he's been up to lately.

To put it short, after leaving Superfriends to do session work, Lee went on to make up JumpP together with other ex-mainstream musicians including Oney (Lipanbara, May), Boy Razak (Freedom), Bard (Handy Black, GET, Eye), Xul (Doubleline) and Yan (of Asianbit Band).

Follow them on Twitter @BandJUMPP..

And while we're at it, Happy Chinese New Year to all Band Superfriends friends and fans.

Wedding crasher!

While Superfriends mull on their gigliograpgy for 2013, some of the bandmates are not shy to gate-crash a wedding, in fact a celeb wedding for that matter!

OK no.

They didn't gatecrash, but rather, were engaged by the wedding planner to provide some romantic music to enhance the ambience of the night-time garden do.

Sneak peak at Siti the Korgian, Nadz!r the bass-man and Faisal on the drums practicing a Tompi number.

Will this be the last year Superfriends play?

Dear friends,

with much anxiety I wait for the news from the band members, will they still play around our local club scenes this year?

The thing is, since the last couple of years each of the band members has been dabbling in something on the side. Zham, Najuib, Siti and Nadzir has gone on businessman/businesswoman mode, and Siti the Korgian is even teaching small kids at Yamaha Music School during weekends.

Now that most of them has started a family of their own, slowing down seems to be the course of things to come.

Let's wait for one of them to update me on where they'll be playing this month.

Back at Monterez

Subang folks, Superfriends is back at Monterez this month!

It's been a while since the band played at this cozy nook, but Monterez's beckoning power is one they did not deny.

The line up is kinda fresh, especially for the likes on me who have not been checking out the club scene as regularly as the rest of you good happy folks. So maybe I'll bump into you guys soon, as the place is kinda easy to access without traffic woes.

Band Superfriends wanted to take a break this month, initially, as some of them were moving. (As in moving to a new place to dwell in.) But luck has taken them into a new contract, so we won't be missing them in action this month.

Rock on!
