"Penang mai, diet bye!"
So tweeted The Korgian (@anakorg) last week as the band head to Penang island for a gig pertaining a private function. I bet it was all the sight of the king of the fruits at Balik Pulau that did the trick.
It was a long time since the band traveled up North, the last time being auditions for Blast Off!, if some of you could recall - which also loosely translates: you may be aging, but good music will forever be part of your life.
The latest song in their portfolio now includes Goyte's Somebody That I Used To Know. Yep, that emo song that seems to be the theme-song in everyone's life now, just as You're Beautiful used to be (you know, you like it, then everyone likes it, then everyone likes the damn song too much it just became way too annoying).
If you're not a fan of this song, who knows Superfriends' version may convert you into one. Catch the band at Rum Jungle from Wednesday to Saturdays, 10PM onwards.
Labels: Goyte, June 2012, Kuala Lumpur, live band, Rum Jungle KL, top 40 songs
