Sabahan ladette apologize to Superfriends
KUALA LUMPUR, Monday - The girl who got drunk about a couple of weeks or so ago at Holliday Inn's cozy club and threw tantrums over a Raya song played live, has issued an apology to the band on duty - Superfriends, as well as to the clubbers whom she might have scolded for requesting the band to play the festive number.
The girl, who only wanted to be known as D, admits to being "too happy and excited" that particular night so much so she was not paying attention to the number of bottom's up on her tab. "I guess I am getting old, and I can't handle as much alcohol as I used to during my younger days," says D regretfully.
D adds that she could not really remember what happened, but the morning after her friend who accompanied her to the club did described her delinquent behaviour. "Apparently I grabbed the lead singer's mic and shouted something at someone," recalls D of her friend's tale.
According to witnesses D shouted something that sounds distinctively like a popular four-letter word. However, whether it was directed to the group of clubbers who requested for the Raya song to be performed by the band; or the band for complying - no one could really be sure.
What's sure is the fact that D was immediately hauled off the dance floor by the club manager, who forced her to call it a night. The manager later apologized to the band for not being able to prevent her from causing the ruckus.
D, fully sober during the interview with Bandsuperfriends.blogspot relays, "For that I'd like to apologise to the band, Superfriends, the club management, and all the clubbers there as well. I hope I had not caused any damage, especially to the mic which I heard was an expensive sort; or annoyed anyone."
D promises to behave the next time she goes to enjoy Superfriends' performance.
Superfriends remained unperturbed by the incident, saying that it is part and parcel of their job. The band is looking forward to securing a contract for the month of January and February 2006, as well as their upcoming contract at Planet Hollywood, which will take place during March and April 2006.
