"Jiwa rasa gelora.."

Last night I saw a P. Ramlee movie, one of his earliest work, one of those depressing old movies.. which you only see when you want to hear the good songs they perform at the on set cabarets.

It also featured Seniwati Normadiah, yeah, the one with the voice so unique that even when someone else is onscreen mouthing the lyrics, we can immediately tell that it is not that actress singing, tis Normadiah.

Band Superfriends do include P. Ramlee songs in their repertoire, those of you who ever caught any of their Raya eve performance will know and sing-along to Dendang Perantau. And oh, thanks for not asking them to play it over and over again, it does get more depressing with every note for the rest of the clubbers ya know.

I feel like singin an old song today, one which starts with "Jiwa rasa gelora... Kasiiih padaaaa tarunaa.. Bukan kerna.. iiintan permata, Kerna budi bahasa..."

Simply cause someone in office has that tune set as the ringtone! Maybe Superfriends can play this song one day for me... In my dreams...

In my dreams Superfriends also played that real-rockin' B'Z tune which I love so much, ya know, that song from Life is Beautiful serial. Just now Korgian was also humming My Chemical Romance's new track, Mama - cool! Maybe we'll get to hear them play this song live soon! In my dreams they already did!

Before you ask me, "Ni ape kelas mimpi gi tengok live band ni, dah la sepanjang bulan ni belum sampai lagi Rum Jungle to check out the new line-up?" Let me just hollar that I'm thinking of going there tomorrow, with a bunch of friends, since it's already gaji time.
