Request for Raya songs

A dear friend recently asked, if she wants to request band Superfriends play Raya song when she comes to Planet Hollywood, can or cannot?

Hmm.. I better let Superfriends do the answering.

If memory serves me well, the band do have one or two Raya songs in their repertoire, but they only belt it out when working at selected establishments, and if the client/club proprietor requests for it. On another consideration, they will likely play the Raya song as an opening piece on the very first set, and that's it.

I told my friend that sometimes I get the impression that certain clubs do not encourage the performing bands to layan so much of such request (same goes for Xmas, CNY etc), even though the occasion calls for it. Guess they want to retain their usual kind of entertainment offering, regardless what day it is - perhaps a standard that they have to adhere to or something.

Bottomline is, not sure la kak. Let's wait and see if anyone from Superfriends can clarify OK.

Where Superfriends dwell

A nine-year old Chinese boy fell from his fourth floor home yesterday, September 5, 2007 at about 5.30PM in the afternoon. He succumbed to injuries and died a few minutes after slipping from a window located near his home floor's lift area.

The boy's family home in Block 1 happens to be about ten floors down from Korgian and yours truly's home, where Nad too was renting with us until about a month ago (she recently moved to a place nearer to KL town). The condo block is next to Apish's family home block, Block 3.

Korgian who came back from running a few errands yesterday afternoon said she saw the boy's grandmother next to the covered body wailing "Come back to popo." I got back from work about an hour after the incident took place. By then police had the area sealed using the yellow perimeter tape, but I did catch the officers taking notes and checking the skinny, fair-skinned body.

Later that night as Korgian left for Planet Hollywood, the area had been cleaned as though nothing life-changing ever took place.
