Superfriends @ MySpace

Ladies and gentlemen,

Band Superfriends is now back on MySpace! Thanks to Shima! Go see la! Then let me know what you think?

For me there's still a lot of stuff about the band you can find out at this site. For example, I always thought Shima's name is spelled with an "H", but as you will later discover at http://www.myspace.com/bandsuperfriends , a "Y" is used instead.

Hence from this sentence forward, Shima is Syima! (Errata coming up. Oh we're online, not on print eh, so corrections will be done and no traces will be left. Cool.)

Just so you know if memory serves, one of our super friend, Sue once started a MySpace page for the band too, but I'm not sure if it is still active as Sue has quite demanding work commitments. The more the merrier, so mari kita ramai-ramai tepuk tangan and give all Superfriends web presence some traffic.

Back to the new MySpace site, I gotta warn ye that the bahasa pengantar is not quite English all the way. Amigo mire, por favor, amigo comprende. (OK my Spanish is obviously not at all great either.) Enjoy!

Superfriends to play cha-cha?

Hear ye, hear ye, Superfriends is now playing at Titanium Damansara from 9PM to 12AM. Three sets only! Crowd comes early!

I still could not figure out where the club is located. I kept thinking it was at Rush, that one club within the CP Tower/Siemens area, but I will get there soon enough and find out.

But cha-cha? Really? Well how bout that..

If anyone caught the band doing it please video it a bit! I'm in the midst of setting up a video account and linking some footages to this blog. With the lousy connection I'm working with, it might take a while, but hopefully it will be up real quick.

p/s: Been meaning to blog about this bloke who had a crush on one of the bandmembers. Tragic really, but it will remind us all to seize the day and as Rick Astley once sung, love won't wait..!

Superfriends got off stage..

What would make good musicians who love making good music get off stage for more good music at the same time get some good time off of their own good music?

For Superfriends bands like Gigi and Hujan would do. Here's Apiz, Shima, Siti, Nadzir and our mate Niza (plus Shima's gang in the background and Bibi was out of the frame, mea culpa) having fun at the recent Sunburst 2008.

Gigi was playing and everyone claimed Thomas the bassist winked at them. Pop Shuvit brought rain and Joe Flizzow did help much, Hujan leveraged on its namesake to get the crowd feverish (in all sense).

Tengokla Apiz, Bibi dengan Niza cam tak puas ati je time Hujan perform tu sebab they could not afford to join the throng and get wet and fall sick. George Clinton was well.. er.. one had diaper-ish garment on but played good music nontheless, and all was cool..

We bumped into old music-lover-music-maker friends and 'tis good to know they're doing good. I could not persuade the bandmates to come back here after work, otherwise they could've been enjoying the last half of Incubus - ya man the half-naked half! Rugi kan?

On a more important note: You guys are gonna miss Superfriends this week - some of them are holidaying in Bangkok, some chillin' out in their hometown and some spending precious time with their family. They will be back next week at the new joint in Damansara.. Anyone knows where Titanium is?
